What will you do if you have 2 days in Singapore with a limited budget? This is how we did it! Singapore, here we come...
23 Mac - 24 Mac
Wi-Fi or Sim card?
We bought our Singtel sim card at the airport. It was very cheap compared to the other network at that time.
Accommodation
This is the trickiest part if you are on a budget and you want to stay at some place that is very close to the public transport. Luckily, we found Meadows Hostel which matches with what we're looking for and convenient. They also provide simple breakfast which includes bread and drinks. Be prepared to do some walking if you decided to use public transport instead of using Taxi or Grab. Recommended to those that willing to walk at least 10 minutes to the nearby MRT.
Food and drink
Since food and drink are not our main focus for this trip, we stop randomly at any restaurant for our breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Don't forget to go to Singapore Chinatown. I love the food variety there!
Transportation
I find it very convenient using Singapore's public transport to travel around Singapore! But the route can be very confusing too. To make it easy, just use your Google Map for the routes and it will show you what types of transport (Bus, MRT or LRT) you should be using to reach your destination. Use this Singapore tourist pass.
Activities
There are a lot of fun and free activities that you can do in Singapore. But due to limited time, we managed to go to have fun at Universal Studio Singapore and few places only.
If you have only 24 hours in Singapore, consider going to this Singapore Free Things To Do:
1. Merlion Park
2. Esplanade
3. Helix Bridge, and
4. Gardens by The Bay.
Start walking from Merlion Park and to The Bay.
5. Chinatown
We were very fortunate to see a rehearsal performance by Operalab on Cosi Fan Tutte by Mozart at Esplanade that day. They were going to do the real performance that night but due to our flight was at night, we didn't get to see the real performance. Anyway, I feel amazed to see their rehearsal performance, it was outstanding!

What about the Universal Studio Singapore Ticket?
I would say the main reason we decided to go to Singapore was that I won myself a pair of Universal Studio Singapore Ticket, with a Universal Unlimited Express pass (worth around SGD130)!
And yes, I would like to thanks TICO SEA for this chance and I had a magical time at my first Universal Studio! Looking forward to the next Universal Studio. Universal Studio Singapore First Timer Guide.
