8 Things Must Do Before you go to Japan...
8 Things Must Do Before you go to Osaka and Kyoto, Japan...
There are things I wish I knew before going to Japan and also what to prepare before going to Japan.
So, I have prepared this blog post for that purpose.
1. Book your flight ticket early
We booked as early as five months before the trip. Since it's spring season, the ticket will be slightly higher than usual. Not to forget, always add-on the insurance too, if possible.
2. Book your stay
If you are first-timer like me, I would really suggest you try out their ryokan experience!
For Kyoto, we stayed here:
- Awesome hospitality!
- Had our dinner and breakfast like a king
- Overall, it is an amazing experience!
ii. Airbnb at Kyoto
- Great location!
- Just 5 mins walk from the nearest train station
- There are Family Mart and nice restaurants nearby too
- Overall, I love this room and I will stay again if I come to Kyoto in the future!
For Osaka, we stayed here:
- Great location too
- You can use the microwave and washing machine!
- Definitely will choose this place again

5. Exchange currency
Tips! Commit yourself to exchange some currency every month before the trip.
6. Book pocket wifi, I used Roaming Man
I prefer to use pocket wifi because it is very convenient and you need to use Google map everywhere you go.
7. Top up your BigPay card, to be used in case of emergency
Yes, you need a backup plan just in case if you run out of cash.
